These are awesome!!!
Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 small onion, chopped
1 egg
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
6 slices bacon
6 hamburger buns, split
DIRECTIONS
Preheat a grill for high heat.
In a large bowl, mix together the Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Crumble in the ground beef, and mix together by hand. Form into 6 patties, and wrap a slice of bacon around each one. Secure bacon with toothpicks.
Place patties on the grill, and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Remove toothpicks before serving on hamburger buns
Hope you enjoy!!!

Use a 70/30 blend of hamburger. Season w/ salt and pepper. Form them thinner and bigger around than you want the final burger patty to be, b/c they will shrink. And hide a little slice of cold butter inside the middle, to help keep it moist. Grill outside, rather than in a skillet.

buy your own beef from the grocery store and toss a handfull of the meat and shape them into a patty. and if you like blue cheese then put it in the patty for extra flavor.

I find that the trick to good burgers are spices. Don’t just add salt and pepper, kick it up. Try adding, lemon pepper, oregano, garlic powder, etc.
Furthermore, remember to try not to squeeze your burgers while they cook, that will cause all the fat and juices to drip out and it can make a very dry burger. You also want to make sure your burgers are not too thin or too thick. Hope this helps.

There really is a secret to great burgers:
First, you have to start with meat that is NOT lean, like 85%. (I know, it goes against our instincts, but that’s what makes a really juicy hamburger). Next, you need to get a hamburger spice (found in the spice isle). Mix the spice in with the hamburger before you make patties, for a well-distributed flavor. Make nice, round, thick patties. When you grill them, DON’T smash them down with your spatula. You want the juice to stay inside.
Next, you need to find the best condiments you can. Offer several kinds of mustard (I love the spicy german kind), SWEET sliced onions, pickles that fit the hamburger bun, the best tomatoes you can find, ketchup, of course.
As for the bun. DON’T buy the pre-packaged kind, unless you have to. Go to the deli and see if they offer home made buns. Those would be much better. Also…get several kinds of cheese, again from the deli, to offer guests.
I would also make a killer salad or two. This always helps make a meal. Here is one salad everyone raves about, and it’s really easy:
Caesar Coleslaw
1 pkg pre-made coleslaw
1/4-1/2 cup shredded parmesean cheese
1/2 pkg caesar croutons
1 bottle creamy caesar dressing
Toss first three ingredients together. Add enough dressing to coat. It’s even good the next day!
and another that’s quite good:
Broccoli Cheese Salad
4 cups broccoli, cut into small pieces
1 red onion, chopped
1 cup cubed cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled
Combine above ingredients. Combine 1 cup mayonnaise, ΒΌ cup sugar, and 2 Tbsp vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. Pour over salad.
Potatoe salad is always a hit. I haven’t been able to make one that is better than the deli makes. It’s called Reeser’s potatoe salad. BBQ beans are always wonderful as a side, too.
Sorry, I went on and on. I love to cook, and I love burgers!
Have fun!

1 lb – ground beef (regular. If you are grilling it on a BBQ you don’t want it to be dry, lean will dry out to quick)
2 tbs. – onion soup mix
2 tbs. – soya sauce
1 – egg
1/2 tsp. – crushed chillies (dried)
salt and pepper
Mix all together, form into 4 patty’s, grill, remember only turn the burgers once.
