My fiance’s step mom is the worst cook on earth! She makes the most bland, undercook or overcooked food I’ve ever had! Anyways, I don’t think she understand the rules of the kitchen. There has been 2lbs. of uncooked hamburger in the fridge for 4 days and she said she is going to make tacos with it tonight. Is it safe to eat it?

most likely …no. If it has started to turn brown, definitely not. Perhaps you would suggest to your fiance that you’d like to eat out tonite for some “couple” time.

Well it depends. If she had it frozen and then tossed it in the fridge for a few days, it’s probably OK so long as she really cooks it. Check for signs – if the meat is gray in color, throw it out. If it still looks red and juicy, it is OK. 4 days is, however, a long time in the fridge so she may just want to buy new. My husband is a chef and he does that all the time – best to be careful though.

In the fridge uncooked meet can last 1-3, hence I would be a bit skeptical about eating it. But, if the meat was kept in a freezer it can even last over a week. Personally, I would stay on the safe side and refrain from eating it, even if it hurts her feelings.
You can also tell if the meat has spoiled by looking at its color. Is it brownish? has spots on it?… Definitely refrain from consumption.
Im sorry to say this but you have to ‘break it’ to her…

I wouldn’t touch it…. hope you can find an excuse for not eating it ( say you feel a little poorly)

if it fullfill with meat don’t eat it ,but if it fullfill withsome vegetables you can eat it ,maybe it is safe because it can keep fresh in the fridge.

It may be, if the sell by date is today or later. The meat sits in the case at the grocery store awhile so I go by the sell by date and of course smell, if it smells funny, toss it.
