I like to microwave them.
It only takes 20 seconds.

You are boiling them way too long—they are already cooked when you buy them —should only boil long enough to heat them up–usually a couple minutes after water comes to a rolling boil. I prefer them broiled (I use my toaster oven on the broil setting)–or broil in your oven—just keep your eye on them as it doesn’t take very long. When they start to get dark, turn them over. I prefer them this way because the skin gets a bit ‘toasted’ is enhances the flavour of the hotdog. I would suggest bbq but if you are just cooking for yourself it is too much bother probably. A last resort I have also used is, wrap the hotdog in a paper towel and microwave on ‘reheat’ setting. By the way, all these methods can be used with frozen hotdogs–no need to thaw–just takes a little longer when they are still frozen. Just a comment–how come you only have hotdogs to eat?? How about asking your mom for maybe some cheese for grilled cheese sandwich or some cans of tuna, chicken, salmon, whatever to make a sandwich?
Good luck–hope your dogs are tasty.

Hotdogs are best on the grill, but since you can’t use one your options are kinda limited.
You can microwave them, first poke it with a fork all over so it doesnt explode, then wrap it in a paper towel and microwave it for 40sec or until hot..
Or you could heat it up in a frying pan on the stove, but that will take longer..

Bring them too a boil. Shut off the water and let them sit in it for 12 minutes. They should not split open this way. Try putting them on buns by slicing in half the long way and broiling them with some cheese slices on top of the open face dogs/buns.
Roast them on sticks over a fire in the backyard (Parental permission required first though)

my son microwaves it 30 seconds at a time til it’s the temp he wants, wrap it with a paper towel like they wrap sandwiches at Subway, and reposition it every 30 seconds. Also if you have a problem with it “exploding” or swelling poke it with a fork a couple of times.

You can boil them for 5 mins and just before they start to plump take them out. Poke some holes in them and fry them in a pan over med heat, pour a few dashes of hot sauce on them and put chili and cheese on top. Good stuff

Put a thin slice of cheese (cheddar, American, pepper jack, whatever) on the bun. Add the cold (not frozen) hotdog. Wrap the whole thing up in a paper towel and nuke for 40 seconds or so.

Does your family have a George Foreman grill? Grilling is the best way to cook them.
